March = David and I took a small trip over to San Antonio during Spring Break while Ali stayed with grandma Vick. Ali started taking a few steps, loves going to Starbuck's (she didn't really drink the coffee!), and really likes her new bike seat!
April = The weather was starting to get really nice, so we spent a lot of time outside biking, walking/jogging on the trails. We were also able to take advantage of the "splash pad" that is not too far from the house. I'm thinking this is the month that we officially had to "baby proof" the house, so we threw up a gate to keep her contained.
May = Ali has gone from barely walking in March to almost running in May! Can't believe how much personality she has at this point. Spending more and more time outside. We celebrated Memorial Day here in the Woodlands. Ali has gotten in a lot of teeth and now has 12 total!
June = Ali spent her last week in daycare! Yay! We've had quite a few ear infections over the last couple of months, so it's nice to finally get away from that germ-infested place for the summer! We signed up for parent-child swim lessons, so this was Ali's first taste of being in the pool...she loved it! We have a trip planned at the end of the month to go to St. Louis and Kansas so looking forward to seeing family and friends.
July = We were able to see lots of friends and families over the 4th of July holiday, but always nice to get back home. We were able to spend a few rainy weeks at home before having visitors the last part of July. David's sister Katie and Ali's cousins Avery and Lincoln flew down and hung out for a couple of days. We were able to get to the Children's museum in Houston, and ate lots of yummy food. It was nice to be able to get together with David's brothers/sister (Joe, Mike, Katie) and the bottom pic is of all the cousins minus Jonathon (Mike's son). The next round was the Tautphaeus family (Ron, Katie, Avery and Brenley). It was great to catch up, and we even took a last minute trip to San Antonio to the riverwalk and Alamo.
